eContext was developed by search engine marketing experts at our parent company, Info.com, who were looking for ways to make digital advertising simple and scalable. Available tools and services were too narrow, too shallow, too slow or failed to reflect the true way people search and behave online.
Info.com began to develop an accurate and universal classification engine to sort and structure raw data. The team quickly realized, if you want human results, you must teach a computer to think like a human, so Info.com hired a diverse team of data scientists and subject matter experts to build a classification system. The result: eContext, a better framework to accurately classify search data and the world’s largest semantic text classification engine.
Now, instead of building every campaign or query from scratch, Info.com had a library of the most effective, efficient data available. And, since eContext is a general taxonomy, our classification is relevant for a wide variety of industries, topics and situations.
The eContext Family
This simple idea grew into a family of companies that share the common philosophy around smart data classification. In addition to eContext, we also provide user profiles based upon mobile usage via Complementics, and chatbot expertise via BotBuilder.
